The difference between buy and sell premiums is your effective spread. *This spread is applicable only to transactions done in USD and SGD, other currencies may vary due to forex charges and fluctuations.

Storage fees are calculated daily based on your metal holdings. The fees accrue over time and are deducted from your holdings in grams either each month or at the time of sellback, subject to an annual minimum storage amount of 0.1 grams for gold and platinum, and 10 grams for silver.

Make sure to have enough S.T.A.R. Grams in your S.T.A.R. Grams Savings Account to cover the weight of the physical product multiplied by its fineness and its current premium.

As an example, to redeem a 1 kg Heraeus gold bar with a 2% premium you'll need:

1000.00 * 1.02 = 1020.00 grams
